*CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE 38TH HYDERABAD SAILING WEEK*

The 38th Hyderabad Sailing Week, a landmark event in India’s sailing calendar concluded on 07 July 2024 with a grand closing ceremony. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Lt Gen Neeraj Varshney, VSM, Commandant MCEME, Colonel Commandant Corps of EME, Commodore EME Sailing Association, and President Laser Class Association of India, as the chief guest and Shri Gautam Bhoopal, President Secunderabad Club.
The event accredited by the Yachting Association of India was held from 01 July to 07 July 2024 and was jointly organized by the EME Sailing Association, Laser Class Association of India and Secunderabad Sailing Club. The event aimed to promote the sport of sailing within the Army and across the country and identify talent for future medallists for the Asian Games & Olympics.

Gen Varshney, in his address, commended the sailors for their dedication and skill, highlighting the importance of such events in fostering sportsmanship and excellence in sailing. He emphasized the role of the EME Sailing Association and the Laser Class Association of India in promoting the sport and nurturing talent at the grassroots level.
